Team Building in Chamonix this time: we headed for the Vallée Blanche, accompanied by two guides.
Accessible from the Aiguille du Midi cable car (3,842 m), we started with the most technical part: the descent of the Aiguille du Midi ridge, done on foot (skis in hand), in a roped party! Not the most reassuring either…
This 20 km, 2,000 m ascent allowed us to ski off-piste on crevassed snow-covered glaciers: the Géant, Tacul and Mer de Glace glaciers, and to pass between the seracs! The weather was ideal that day, and the descent of a few hours allowed us to discover the Mont-Blanc Massif in all its splendor and difficulties too.
The Montenvers train, accessible after climbing 530 steps 30 cm high (this staircase is the most tiring part after 5 hours’ skiing…), took us back to Chamonix.
Unforgettable memories!
