The young start-up PC30, listed on the Marché Libre and supported by Sofinnova and Nem Partners since last year, is continuing its shopping spree. After Smartfix and the on-site maintenance activities of ANovo, it is taking over the same department at Sogeti, a subsidiary of Cap Gemini. The amount of the transaction, paid entirely in cash and including an earn-out, has not been made public. The acquired business, which employs 210 people, generated pro forma sales of more than €12m last year.
For its part, PC30 generated a current result before tax of more than 8% on a turnover of 36.2 million Euros – for 450 employees (plus about 250 employees of franchised companies). As with Smartfix, which turned around within a month of acquisition, PC30 believes that the already profitable Sogeti and ANovo businesses should be equally profitable. In this way it continues to consolidate a highly fragmented sector. “We have maintained a strong balance sheet, which allows us to take advantage of a favourable buying environment,” says PC30 founder Gianbeppi Fortis.
