Manergy x Consul’tech

The Manergy group, managed and majority-owned by Christian Cannet and Benjamin Brullon, is acquiring Consul’tech. The transaction is based on debt arranged by a banking pool composed of BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, and CIC.
Founded in 2006, Manergy is an engineering and consultancy group specializing in energy transition in the fields of energy, the environment, and thermal rehabilitation. The group is organized around 3 main areas of activity: energy efficiency of buildings, energy transition of territories, and decarbonization of industries and infrastructures. Its services are aimed at local authorities and housing professionals such as Ville de Paris, Grand Lyon, Gironde Habitat, and Foncia.
Through its 10 subsidiaries and 18 agencies covering the whole of France, Manergy will generate sales of €30 million by 2021 with a team of 250 employees.
Following contacts initiated by the teams at PAX Corporate Finance, Manergy has just finalized the acquisition of Consul’tech. Founded in 2008 by Alain Prevost, Consul’tech specializes in providing technical support to property owners and managers in managing the entire lifecycle of the buildings under their responsibility. The company is successfully developing its expertise in 4 areas: technical audits, maintenance engineering, technical management assistance, and engineering and project management.
This acquisition was made possible thanks to contacts initiated by the PAX Corporate Finance teams. This acquisition will expand the Manergy Group’s property division and strengthen its position in the private sector.
In order to accelerate its growth, Manergy intends to study new acquisition opportunities in the fields of electrical engineering, renewable energies and local energies with the aim of becoming a major player in the energy transition and the fight against climate change in France.
According to Manergy's Chairman, Christian Cannet: "This acquisition is a strategic step in the development of Manergy, and more particularly of our "Property" division, as it will enable us to rapidly strengthen our position with private sector players. Already very active with social landlords and public sector players, we are now broadening our scope of intervention to meet the needs of all of our asset management clients. Consul'tech's reputation, expertise and methods were decisive in this choice. But also their corporate culture, which is very similar to ours. We are delighted to welcome them to Manergy and are convinced that this is a further step in supporting our clients in their energy transition.
